ONYX appeared at the 2023 Shanghai Water Industry Hotspot Forum

On October 19th, the "2023 (15th) Shanghai Water Industry Hotspot Forum," co-hosted by the E20 Environmental Platform, Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Chengtou Wastewater Treatment Co., Ltd., officially opened in Shanghai. Themed "Product Advancement: Building a New Industrial Ecosystem," the forum engaged the technical and industrial communities to explore how product advancements can contribute to a new industrial ecosystem.

Industrialization Wave

Currently, the environmental industry is experiencing its third wave: industrialization. Product advancement is accelerating, and the underlying logic of the water industry's development is quietly shifting. In the post-Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) era, the wastewater treatment industry needs to deliver high-quality, value-added services to adapt to the trend of high-quality development.

The E20 Environmental Platform, with its mission to guide and promote industrialization, has proposed a core industry strategy of "one body, two wings" guided by high-quality development, with productization as the "body," standardization as the "left wing," and intelligence as the "right wing." Rooted in the market, we are exploring a new wave of value. Only through productization can we discover, define, and realize value, enhance our quality mission, and contribute to the development of the industry.

Product Introduction

The immersion-ballast integrated UV disinfection module integrates the ballast and disinfection module into a single unit, with an IP68 rating. Placed in a water channel, it utilizes water cooling technology to maintain the ballast temperature, eliminating the need for air conditioning or other structural elements. Furthermore, the ballast's service life is more than doubled compared to traditional products. The system can be equipped with an online UV dose monitoring system for real-time monitoring of UV dose and microbial disinfection effectiveness. The system also adjusts the UV lamp output intensity (50%-100%) based on changes in water quality and volume, achieving true energy savings and consumption reduction.

ONYX Award

On October 19th, the 2023 (15th) Shanghai Water Industry Hotspot Forum unveiled the "Annual User Recommended Products" list. To promote industry-wide sharing of high-quality supplier resources, clarify the evolutionary path for key equipment products to meet user needs, and establish a library of outstanding products to support the development of 6A benchmark plants, the Double Hundred Alliance launched a high-quality advancement initiative for key wastewater treatment equipment. Five product review meetings led by user experts were held to conduct in-depth discussions and demonstrations, ultimately resulting in the final list of "Annual User Recommended Products for Key Wastewater Treatment Equipment."

The list covers six major wastewater treatment process steps and is evaluated based on six dimensions: stability, after-sales support, energy conservation and consumption reduction, standardization, brand recognition, and intelligence. After recommendations from 20 alliance members and on-site evaluation by 80 user judges, 29 products were selected from 210 brands. Below is the list of "Annual User Recommended Products" and the awards ceremony.
