CLEAR Medium pressure UV Disinfection System

The ONYX-Clear-SY in-line medium-pressure UV sterilizer uses medium-pressure UV lamps for physical sterilization, without the addition of any chemicals or secondary pollution. It offers safe operation, ease of use, and reduced operating costs and maintenance.

The treated water does not affect taste or flavor. It complies with water standards such as the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, the Sanitary Standard for Drinking Water (GB 5749), the Drinking Water Quality Standard (CJ94-2005), the National Food Safety Standard for Drinking Natural Mineral Water (GB 8537-2018), and the Packaged Drinking Water Standard (DGB19298-2014).

Advantages

Highly Efficient Sterilization:

Medium-pressure UVC light has a wavelength range of 100 to 400 nm, encompassing a wider spectrum than the single 254 nm wavelength of low-pressure UVC lamps. This multi-spectrum UVC sterilization not only destroys DNA and RNA but also disrupts enzymes and proteins within cells, causing comprehensive and irreversible damage to microbial tissue structures. This effectively prevents microbial resurgence and provides more thorough sterilization.

Custom Ballast:

Excellent compatibility with lamps, providing more stable UV light output.

Type 214 synthetic quartz tube:

Sufficiently ensures UV light transmittance.


Automatic Cleaning System:

Utilizes online mechanical cleaning. The cleaning drive system is motor-driven. Cleaning does not affect the normal operation of the disinfection system, and the cleaning frequency is adjustable on-site.


Intelligent Automation:

Touchscreen + PLC + IoT cloud control enables real-time monitoring of equipment operating status.

Technical Principle

UV disinfection technology utilizes ultraviolet light (wavelength 254nm) to damage the DNA/RNA structure of microorganisms, rendering them unable to reproduce and effectively sterilizing the water. Compared with chemical disinfection, UV treatment requires no chemical additives, produces no disinfection by-products (DBPs), achieves high inactivation efficiency against bacteria, viruses, and spores, and requires only seconds of contact time. It is a safe, environmentally friendly physical disinfection method.

ONYX UV equipment features optimized reactor hydraulic design ensuring uniform UV dose distribution, paired with an automatic cleaning system to maintain lamp transmittance for long-term stable operation. The equipment supports online UV dose monitoring and real-time operational status feedback, and can be seamlessly integrated into existing SCADA systems.
