Technical Principle

UV disinfection technology utilizes ultraviolet light (wavelength 254nm) to damage the DNA/RNA structure of microorganisms, rendering them unable to reproduce and effectively sterilizing the water. Compared with chemical disinfection, UV treatment requires no chemical additives, produces no disinfection by-products (DBPs), achieves high inactivation efficiency against bacteria, viruses, and spores, and requires only seconds of contact time. It is a safe, environmentally friendly physical disinfection method.

ONYX UV equipment features optimized reactor hydraulic design ensuring uniform UV dose distribution, paired with an automatic cleaning system to maintain lamp transmittance for long-term stable operation. The equipment supports online UV dose monitoring and real-time operational status feedback, and can be seamlessly integrated into existing SCADA systems.
