Pilotscale experiment
ONYX has several sets of modular photochemical water treatment pilot equipment, which provide pilot continuous flow and intermittent flow tests based on ultraviolet photochemical advanced oxidation reactions and advanced reduction reactions for high-salinity wastewater, highly toxic wastewater and difficult-to-degrade wastewater.
Introduction
The main pilot equipment includes the following:
UV/Hydrogen Peroxide
UV/Ozone/Hydrogen Peroxide
UV Photolysis
UV Thin-Layer Disinfection Equipment
UV Thin-Layer Cyclone Oxidation Equipment
Ozone Catalysis
Conducting a water treatment pilot test is a necessary step in the transition to engineering scale-up after completing a small-scale laboratory test and determining the technical route. Its core objectives are threefold: ① Verify the stability of pilot test parameters under continuous flow conditions at the m³·d⁻¹ scale;
② Obtain calibration data for scale-up factors (residence time, UV power density, oxidant dosage, byproduct control, etc.);
③ Form the basis for the process package and commercial quotation for subsequent 10–100 m³·h⁻¹ demonstration units.
The following process has been used in pilot project validation for numerous domestic companies (including pharmaceutical, dye, pesticide, TDI, and other companies dealing with high-COD, salt-containing wastewater) and can be directly used as a blueprint for their SOPs or technical agreements.
