Ultraviolet Technology Asia Symposium
Jinan: November 5-6
On November 5-6, the 2023 CUVA/IUVA Asia UV Symposium with the theme of "Focusing on new UV empowerment to promote the development of the industry" was successfully held in Jinan, Shandong. The conference was co-organized by the Ultraviolet Committee of the China Environmental Machinery Industry Association (CUVA) and the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA), and hosted by the Shandong Urban Water Supply and Drainage Water Quality Monitoring Center.
PART 1 UV Technology Asia Seminar
Dozens of UV technology experts from mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries and regions, along with over 110 industry scholars, engineers, and young students, gathered to discuss the latest technological advances, applications, and future opportunities and challenges of UV technology in Asia.

The forum, held in both Chinese and English, featured 27 presentations across six report sections (UV New Trends, UV New Applications, UV New Technologies, UV Internationally, UV New Fields, and Young Scholars). The technical presentations on November 5th were chaired by Professor Wang Yonglei of Shandong Jianzhu University, Professor Huang Yongheng, Vice President of the Guangdong Provincial Standardization Association, and Cai Xiaoyong, General Manager of Beijing Anlisi Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. Commemorative certificates were presented to the Young UV Scholars Forum presenters.

On the afternoon of the 5th, CUVA also held its second Professional Committee plenary meeting concurrently with the forum. General Manager Cai Xiaoyong of Beijing Anlisi Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., representing the committee's Vice Chairman, delivered a speech. The forum was lively and the participants actively participated in the discussions.

PART 2 Forum Exhibition
During the forum's poster presentation session, ONYX showcased not only its latest series of UV standardization products but also its newly patented vacuum-grade 185nm and 254nm parallel beam analyzers. This technology, commonly used for TOC degradation dose verification and water micropollutant degradation dose verification, attracted considerable attention from conference attendees.

PART 3: ONYX Night
On the evening of November 5th, the forum held a reception dinner, specially sponsored by ONYX. All delegates gathered at the foot of Thousand Buddha Mountain and the shores of Daming Lake to experience the hospitality of the beautiful Spring City. The dinner featured a variety of activities, including a Young Scholars Party and an awards ceremony.
