Water quality assessment → UV dose calculation → System selection → Installation and commissioning → Operation and maintenance
• Water quality assessment: UVT (254 nm transmittance), SS, particle size distribution, and microbial indicators;
• Dose calculation: According to USEPA/national standards, 40 mJ/cm² for drinking water and 15–25 mJ/cm² for wastewater;
• Equipment selection: Low-pressure, high-output vs. medium-pressure lamps, number of lamps, and online cleaning method (mechanical/chemical);
• Installation and commissioning: Lamp concentricity, quartz sleeve cleanliness, and ballast power calibration;
• Operation and maintenance: Monthly light intensity testing, annual lamp replacement, and cleaning cycle setting.
Ultraviolet Advanced Oxidation (UV-AOP) Support Content and Process
From Experimentation to Engineering: Pilot/Pilot Test → Process Package Development → Equipment Skid Installation → Automated Operation → Performance Evaluation
• Experimental Phase: Determine the optimal UV dose, oxidant dosage ratio, pH, and reaction time;
• Process Package: Reactor type (tubular/trough/spiral flow), lamp power density, online cleaning, and exhaust gas treatment;
• Product Design: Metering pump, static mixer, UV reactor, H₂O₂ residual decomposition (activated carbon or NaHSO₃);
• Automated Control: PLC closed-loop control of oxidant dosage based on online ORP or COD signals;
• Performance Evaluation: COD, TOC, characteristic pollutant removal rate, acute toxicity reduction, and byproducts below detection limit.
