1. Major Challenges of Heavy Rainfall for Channel-Type UV Disinfection Equipment


Heavy rain causes a sudden increase in sewage volume, potentially exceeding the UV system's designed treatment capacity, resulting in a shortened hydraulic retention time, insufficient UV dose, and incomplete disinfection.

When the water level rises above the equipment's safe operating level due to heavy rain, it can cause the equipment to shut down, rendering the disinfection function ineffective.

The risk of water intrusion associated with heavy rain can damage electrical components, leading to equipment failure.
