From "Perspiration-Driven" to "Algorithm-Driven"

Sorting robots and intelligent optical sorters have become core equipment for the circular economy in urban solid waste, construction waste, electronic waste, waste paper, and waste plastics. Multimodal sensors can simultaneously capture the color, shape, texture, density, elemental composition, and even molecular structure of materials in milliseconds. Vision models based on deep convolutional networks are continuously trained and learned in the cloud. Robotic arms, multi-jointed high-speed grippers, vacuum suction cups, or air-blowing nozzles perform sorting, grasping, placing, and rejecting at a high rate.

ONKY sorting robots can separate plastic bags and plastic film from mixed waste paper, increasing the purity of recycled plastics to over 99%. ONKY intelligent optical sorters use on-the-fly vision and multi-sensor fusion to precisely sort subcategories, such as whole bottles, bottle flakes, multicolored bottles, and oil cans, into their corresponding bins in a single, precise blow-by process.
